First Eggs Of Spring

First Eggs of Spring

I found four eggs in the nest boxes yesterday.
It was the first day since before Christmas that I collected more than one or two eggs. Spring is most assuredly on the way.

How beautiful the eggs look. For me it was always such a thrill to collect the first eggs of the new season. I envy you heading into Spring as we are just starting Winter here.

Those eggs are a beautiful sight! When I had my layers, my Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks hardly let up during the winter, much to my surprise. I’m happy for you that your girls will soon be in full production mode :-)
